3-4/7/23 Kant and Marx: Revisiting the Intersection

Join us on the 3rd and 4th of July for a conference on Kant & Marx at Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Co-organized by Fiorella Tomassini (Groningen) and Nicholas Vrousalis (EUR) and hosted by the Erasmus School of Philosophy of Erasmus University Rotterdam.

This conference will bring together philosophers working on Kant’s political philosophy and Marx’s ethics and economics to revisit the points of intersection between the two thinkers. The conference will look at theories of property and alienation, the role of legal and moral norms in the constitution of social and political rights, and the relevance of class, gender and race in the political theories of Kant and Marx.
