General description

Inequality against Freedom: Economic Power, Markets, and the Workplace (InAF) is a five-year research project in political philosophy. It is funded by the Netherlands Organization of Scientific Research (NWO), as part of its Vidi scheme. Its principal investigator is Dr Nicholas Vrousalis.

The InAF project studies the relationship between freedom and economic inequality, by using the tools of contemporary analytic philosophy, together with recent work in economics and historical sociology. Its purpose is to develop an account of the fraught relationship between inequality and freedom, with a view towards emancipatory alternatives to our present socioeconomic constitution.
